Scope:
16, 15, 14, 12, 10 AWG insulated solid copper conductor with polyvinylchloride (PVC) insulation twisted. Optional PVC jacket with rip cord. Each conductor individually rated for a maximum temperature of 60°C in wet or dry locations for circuits not exceeding 600 volts. The twisted product is suitable for use as a communication (MineTelephone) cable.

Applicable Standards and Tests:
ASTM B-1, B-3, B-33, and B-8, UL 44 and UL83, CSA C22.2 No.271- 11, MSHA: Title 30, Part 18, Section 18.64, Part 7, Subpart K, Section 7.407.

Construction:
Conductors: Single copper conductors as solid, annealed or hard, coated or uncoated copper per UL and ASTM requirements.

Insulation: PVC (polyvinylchloride) shall be a nominal average thickness of 0.030” (.76mm) rated for an insulation resistance of 140 megaohms. To the extent specified, insulation shall comply with the requirements of UL 83. Each conductor shall be spark tested at 7500 VAC. Optional heavy duty 0.045” PVC jacket and rip cord for severe conditions.

Identification and Packaging:
Standard packaging is 500 and 1000 ft lengths on metal spools. Custom lengths are available upon request. 15 AWG/2 is recognized and approved by the Mine Safety Health Administration (MSHA.)
