Meet Sabrina Livermore: September 2024 Employee of the Month

Lil Wayne said it best - Real G's move in silence like lasagna. Few people notice when everything works flawlessly, but it takes an incredible amount of work to keep the machine running efficiently. September’s Employee of the Month embraces KrisTech's "Learn and Grow" mentality, and their commitment to excellence shines through in how they have owned and mastered a new and intricate process. Her unwavering commitment to living the KrisTech Way is why KT Accountant Sabrina Livermore is September's Employee of the Month!

The Right "F-IT"

Previously, Sales and Use Tax was outsourced, but Sabrina has taken the initiative to become KrisTech's in-house expert. Sales and Use Tax is a complex and ever-changing field, but with support from the F-IT team, Sabrina:

Learned the intricate Sales and Use Tax rules and regulations across multiple jurisdictions

Registered KrisTech in all required states

Filed 100s of state returns (per state, per period)

Began implementing a third-party platform to continuously monitor our Nexus status, required filings, and sales transactions

Beyond taking on such a critical and detail-oriented task, she's become KT's resident subject matter expert, educating our finance team and customers about exemption forms. Along with the rest of the finance team (shout-out to Kelly DeRochie!), Sabrina dedicated countless hours to obtaining and organizing tax-exempt forms. She also stayed on top of all our filings, tracked thousands of tax jurisdictions and tax updates, and found ways to cross every T and dot every I. Side note: Did you know Reese’s are taxable in Indiana, but KitKats and Twix aren’t?

Future-Proofing Processes

Sabrina's work today is critical for KrisTech's tomorrow. By implementing a third-party platform, every sales transaction is compliant and in real-time. Additionally, her work improves our relationships with customers while reducing potential tax-related issues. Sabrina has been on a roll, reflecting and enhancing KrisTech's core values. Her proactive approach, dedication to learning, and commitment to excellence have changed how we run, setting us up for long-term success as we grow. She’s also a familiar face at all our month-end inventory counts!

Celebrating All Our Nominees

Sabrina takes the reins as September's Employee of the Month but was only one of several deserving employees nominated for the title.
