KrisTech’s TW/THW wire is typically used for general purpose wiring applications, including circuits, machine tool control wiring, and internal appliance wiring. Other common uses include control panels, refrigeration equipment wiring, air conditioning equipment, automatic washers, and other machines.

Solid TW/THW is also used in general purpose grounding, such as CATV installations, swimming pool pumps and lighting, telephone and communications, and traffic light signals.

This wire is rated for 600 V and safely operates in dry locations up to 90°C (ampacity is limited to a conductor temperature of 75°C, per NFPA 70). In wet locations or areas where the wire is exposed to oil or coolant, it can safely operate in temperatures up to 60°C.

Our TW/THW wire has a Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Type TEW rating, permitting its use in dry locations up to 105°C, or wet locations or other applicable locations when exposed to oil or coolant at temperatures up to 60°C. Our standard circuit size (#10, 12, 14 AWG) products are marked Style 1015.

Additionally, our TW/THW wire is CSA-listed AWM-IA (Class I Group A), and TEW products are 600 V FT-1 rated. All our standard products are compliant and multi-listed as types TW, THW, MTW, TEW, and the applicable AWM.
