Our Company

More than 40 years ago, Gerry and Glenn Brodock founded KrisTech Wire with one goal: to create a people-first company committed to building trusted relationships and delivering service customers count on.

KrisTech: Past, Present, and Future

Though the faces, locations, and capabilities have changed, KrisTech remains grounded in the same principles: trusted relationships, reliable execution, and doing what we say we’ll do.

Now in our third generation of family ownership, we continue to invest in our people, strengthen our culture, and raise the bar for how we serve our customers and communities.

    Our Beginning

    KrisTech’s story begins in a small manufacturing facility in the heart of Rome, NY, also known as Copper City.

    For more than 30 years, our home on Seneca St. was where we built the foundation of our business through hard work, relationships, and a commitment to quality and reliability.

    It was there that we launched many of our flagship products, including tracer wire, which today is trusted by utilities and contractors nationwide.

    Growth Through Commitment

    What started with a handful of extruders, respool lines, and bunchers steadily grew into a much larger operation. As KrisTech expanded into new markets — including cathodic protection cable, PV wire, and electrical distribution products — so did our reputation for responsiveness, reliability, and customer service. Combined, they give our customers confidence that their projects keep moving, even when timelines tighten.

    Our continued progress has never been about growth for growth’s sake. It comes from consistently delivering for our customers, reinvesting in our people and operations, and developing lasting relationships grounded in trust.

    Community Impact

    At KrisTech, supporting our community has always been a natural extension of how we operate internally – people showing up for one another and stepping in when help is needed.

    In 2015, a group of employees came together to volunteer their time at a local senior citizens’ home in Rome, NY. What began as a small one-time project quickly evolved into our employee-led CARES Team, which supports organizations and programs throughout Rome, the Mohawk Valley, and Houston.

    Investing in the Future

    More than four decades later, the scenery has changed, but our commitment to our team and customers has not.

    Today, KrisTech operates out of our manufacturing facility at the Griffiss Technology Park in Rome, NY. Since relocating in 2016, we’ve more than quadrupled our capacity, expanding our production and warehouse space to better serve a growing customer base.

    We’ve also expanded beyond New York with our warehouse in Houston, TX. This new facility helps us deliver products faster, more reliably, and with greater flexibility to customers across the U.S.
