Description:

Single conductor wire available in several configurations, including solid or stranded, annealed or hardened, and tin-coated or uncoated bare copper.

Concentrically applied crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) is used to insulate the conductor and is Oil and Gas Resistant I rated. Black insulation is rated Sunlight Resistant.

If colored insulation is substituted, sizes #6 AWG and larger are sunlight resistant, and optional for sizes #8 AWG and smaller.

Application:

RWU90 cable is designed for outdoor power projects, including direct earth burial. The wire may be exposed to different types of weather and sunlight and has a safe continuous operating temperature range of -40°C TO 90°C in wet or dry locations.

This wire is safe for underground and aboveground service entrances and meets Canadian Electrical Codes standards, including CSA C22.2.
