CCS Extra High Strength

Kris-Tech’s Copper Clad Steel (CCS) Extra High Strength Tracer Wire is ideal for horizontal directional drilling applications. It is a solid steel core conductor with a concentrically clad copper coating, insulated with high-density polyethylene (HDPE). CCS Extra High Strength Tracer Wire comes with a 45 mil HDPE jacket and is rated for 600V. It can be used in both wet and dry conditions at a maximum continuous operating temperature of 75°C.

Features

Copper clad steel combines the strength of steel with the electrical and corrosion-resistant properties of solid copper. Kris-Tech’s Extra Strength CCS Tracer Wire offers six times the tensile breaking strength of copper, minimizing or eliminating re-boring requirements.

While less flexible than copper, Extra Strength CCS Tracer Wire can stretch more than 15% to offset wire movement that may occur post-burial.

Kris-Tech Extra Strength CCS Tracer Wire is 11% lighter than copper, which reduces shipping costs and makes it easier to handle on the jobsite.

The HMWPE insulation is rugged, durable, and engineered for excellent tensile strength, moisture and abrasion resistance.
