Benjamin Franklin once said, “An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.”
What America’s most interesting founding father meant by this is that education builds over time, opening doors for more knowledge and curiosity.
One of Kris-Tech’s core values is “Learn and Grow,” a tenet many people at our company embrace. But May’s Employee of the Month has taken their willingness to learn new things to another level. Not only have they taken it upon themselves to learn Kris-Tech’s ERP system inside and out, but they’ve also invested in their personal wealth of knowledge.
Most importantly, this person’s meticulous commitment to getting it right and “never stop” attitude has made them an invaluable part of several cross-department teams.
That’s why we’re so proud to name Kristy Citriniti as May’s Employee of the Month!
When Kris-Tech launched its new ERP system in January, it was a curveball for many people, but Kristy didn’t stand still.
“She is a leader when it comes to documenting new ERP processes and is actively leading training for various functions, including customer cases, AP, and RMAs,” VP of Finance Bob Pagano said. “Kristy also performs manual reviews of sales orders prior to invoicing to help ensure we deliver order accuracy every time.”
And when Kris-Tech’s Finance Director retired earlier this year, Kristy immediately stepped in to take on new tasks and help onboard Chris as he got up to speed.
Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, Kristy is also making waves in her personal life, recently completing her accounting degree.
“Kristy’s dedication, knowledge, and continuous pursuit of excellence make her a standout member of the team,” Pagano said.
A critical piece of the Kris-Tech puzzle is knowing how to work well with others.
Kristy’s ability to collaborate effectively with everyone, regardless of their role, ensures no problem or person is left behind.
“If you’re ever walking past Kristy’s desk, chances are someone is already standing there—and not to chat,” Pagano explained. “It’s because they have a problem, and they know Kristy will stop what she’s doing and help solve it. That kind of support, reliability, and responsiveness is what makes her such a valued teammate.”
Her collaboration skills also extend far beyond Kris-Tech’s four walls. This includes working with procurement and receiving to maintain toll balances, call out invoice discrepancies, support vendors, and ensure we’re only paying for what we receive. Every move she makes helps protect the company’s bottom line.
Kristy earned the top prize this month for her amazing work, but she wasn’t the only one in the running for this month’s award. Other nominees included:
Justin Deschamps – Justin has built a strong rapport with many of Kris-Tech’s equipment vendors. He has played a leading role in several large-scale projects, including new bunchers and reels, fork trucks, cleaning solutions, line speed optimization, printing enhancements, cutting lines, and scrap processing improvements.
Faith McNett – Faith has taken on the role of training Kris-Tech’s newest CSS team member, fully embraced her recently expanded sales territory to support customers, and was instrumental in developing KT’s daily sales shipment tracker.
Come back next month to find out who joins Kristy, Thomas, Charles, Kelly, David, Justin, and Drew as this year’s Employee of the Year nominees!
