SIS Wire or RW90

Scope:

Single conductor, Type SIS or Type XHHW-2 VW-1 for use at 600 volts or less RoHS compliant. It is rated for a maximum continuous operating temperature between -40°C and 90°C in wet and 105°C in dry locations.

Applicable Standards and Tests:

ASTM B-1, B-3, B-33, B-8, and B-174, UL 44 and UL83, CSA C22.2 No 38-10, NEC NFPA 70, NEC 310 and UL vertical flame test.

Conductors:

Single copper conductors as solid or stranded, annealed or hard, coated or uncoated copper per UL and ASTM requirements. Tinned conductors are standard in SIS constructions.

Identification and Packaging:

The wire shall be identified by surface marking indicating the manufacturer, conductor size, voltage rating, UL symbol, VW-1, and type designation. Standard length spools have 500 or 2500 feet. Custom lengths, non-standard colors, AWG and custom packaging are available by request.
